Doosan R&D Center

The halls are designed as three parallel naves. The two side halls are much longer and there is a technical courtyard between them covered by a membrane roof; the middle nave is a temporary parking lot for tested machines. Architecture of production halls is primarily to respect the building’s function; it is based on operational needs and demand of comfort for workers. Operation in the halls is divided in required sections by mobile and/or fixed partitions, if necessary. The office building used as a development design centre is designed closely touching the hall’s north-west façade.  This building has two aboveground and one basement story. Its architecture fully respects the function and production interactions.
